Our Story

Hi, I'm Loren and I am the creator behind Under the Laurel.

This all began during covid times, when uncertainty was the norm and the world took it's toll on my mental health.

I have always been creative, even when I was very little, drawing and colouring for hours.

I felt like a needed a creative outlet again. Something to distract my brain from the world for a while.

I decided on jewellery, mainly because I wanted to make pretty things for myself, but also because it was a pool that I had never dipped my toes into, and I had the desire to learn a new skill.

Nature is and always has been my biggest inspiration in life. I love the trees, the water, the flowers, the bugs, the sky, and the animals.

I also take inspiration from architecture and art.

My pieces are one of a kind, just like you.
